Hi!
I contacted Leonardo's Basement about them bringing a program to the library for our party. After some haggling, they agreed to do a 1.5 hour program for $125. The total budget for the party is $140.
SO! We will need to make some decisions. Do we want to spend almost all the money on the Leonardo's Basement activity? There wouldn't be much left over for catering from Black Sea, for instance. However, we could just have free snacks from our library supply--cookies, pretzel, etc.
So it will be up to the group to decide if the Leonardo's Basement activity is worth it. It does sound pretty cool, and the instructor I've been emailing with is thinking up ways to tie the books into it. Leave your thoughts as comments below!

Well that's my vote!
My vote, after much thought, is for the Leonardo's basement project. As much fun as it would be to have all the different foods, I think that making some Clanker contraption would be even more fun, and we can still have snacks, just not as Leviathan themed.
ReplyDeleteI also vote towards having Leonardo's Basement come. Perhaps we could still purchase some cheap snacks, (i.e. biscuits, tea, maybe japanese candies?) with any leftover money, should there be any.
